Spiritbox Rip "Soft Spine" at the 2026 Grammy Awards

Canadian metal trailblazers Spiritbox take the Grammy stage by storm, showcasing the intense and atmospheric track “Soft Spine” from their chart-topping album Tsunami Sea.

Canadian metalcore and nu metal influenced band Spiritbox delivered a powerful performance during the 2026 Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony on February 1, showcasing their Grammy‑nominated track “Soft Spine.” The band took the stage at the Premiere Ceremony, which streamed live ahead of the main televised broadcast, marking a significant moment for heavier music genres traditionally featured outside the Grammy main show.

The performance came as Spiritbox earned their third consecutive nomination for Best Metal Performance at the Grammy Awards for “Soft Spine.” The nomination underscores the band’s continued presence on the awards circuit following previous nods for “Jaded” in 2024 and “Cellar Door” in 2025.

“Soft Spine” is one of the standout tracks from Spiritbox’s 2025 album Tsunami Sea, which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Hard Rock Albums chart and reached the Billboard 200. Spiritbox released Tsunami Sea on March 7, 2025 via Pale Chord / Rise Records. Across its 11 tracks, the album showcases singer Courtney LaPlante’s versatile vocals and guitarist Mike Stringer’s intricate riff work which continue to set the standard for the meshing of both classic nu metal and more progressive metalcore elements that the band is viewed as the flagship for in the modern metal landscape.
