We are just about one week away from the special 25th anniversary edition of the renowned debut album from industrial/nu metal giants Static-X being unleashed to the world on December 12th, and they have given us a little treat for being so patient since the collection was first announced.
The band have posted a visualizer for the song "Down", which is a Japanese edition bonus track on Wisconsin Death Trip, and was featured on the compilation album Beneath... Between... Beyond... in 2004. The video contains material that was taken during the original photoshoot for the album that took place in 1998 by the original photographer. While not a full lyric video, some of the key lyrics are featured on the screen. The 25th anniversary corrosive edition is special for Static-X fans because it features never-before-seen photos of the band before they exploded onto the scene, as well as rare tracks, demos, and alternate versions of the beloved songs from the original album.
Static-X wrapped up their 25th anniversary tour with Vended and Mudvayne at the end of October, but they are clearly not done celebrating this landmark album. The Ultimate Death Trip is available for pre-order now.
