WATCH: Full Louder Than Life Performance of "Bring Me To Life" by Evanescence and Paul McCoy

The 12 Stones vocalist has uploaded the live performance from Louder Than Life to his YouTube channel.

At the time of writing, Louder Than Life 2025 in Louisville, KY occurred just one week ago, with Evanescence performing on the final day. The band closed out their set with their most well-known and popular song, "Bring Me To Life". This track has been memed to hell over the years, and is definitely a product of the time that it was released, but it remains a staple of the Evanescence catalog for a reason. It's about someone finding a new lease on life after experiencing a period of emotional numbness and despondency, something that many people can relate to. Singer Amy Lee wrote the song when she was only 19 years old after having been in an abusive relationship, showing that even at such a young age, she had a deep understanding of the trials and tribulations of life, and expressed her feelings through beautiful songwriting.

Paul McCoy of 12 Stones was recruited as a guest vocalist to add a male presence as well as some rapping in order to make "Bring Me To Life" more marketable to a mainstream audience. He has only performed the song live with the band a handful of times since its release, and Sunday, September 21st marked the first time in nine years that McCoy was brought on stage with the band. To commemorate this special occasion, he had someone film the moments leading up to the performance, following him backstage as he prepared to make his appearance. He was invited on stage after the bridge to rap the third verse with Lee, as well as the final chorus. The video ends with footage of Lee and McCoy sharing a hug backstage after the performance.
