I guess your façade really can’t disguise the fact that you’re in misery, eh, Dave?
As Disturbed has been in the game for over twenty-five stupifying years, the members of the Chicago hard rockers might have a clue or two about the state of heavy music, in particular what the future of the genre holds.
Key word: might.
David Draiman took to Twitter to give his two cents, shouting out Sleep Token and Bad Omens as the future of rock and metal. Both of these are solid picks, given their viral and commercial successes as of late.
The explosive success of newer bands like #SleepToken and @badomenscult renews my hope and faith in the future of rock and roll 🙏🏻🤘🏻

Rock is dead?
Not by a long shot.
Then some chowderhead has to bring up Ronnie Radke and Falling in Reverse, and that’s about where it fell apart. Draiman showed his support for the openly racist and transphobic Radke, which is only so surprisingly given his pro-genocide actions like signing missiles used to blow up innocents.
Certainly a part of it.@RonnieRadke knows how much I respect his work 🤘🏻

At least Draiman is trying to drop some plates on his landlord’s ass? I have to believe that Draiman meant well with his assessment, but then, even a broken clock is right twice a day.
That being said, it’s at least nice to see tenured acts like Disturbed holding space for the new blood of the scene, even if he then promptly pratfalls by shouting out a notable trashbag.
