In spite of everything she's got going on, Poppy somehow finds time to release new music. As if last week's Wham! cover was enough, the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter has just released a new song, "Unravel," complete with accompanying music video.
First teased in a series of Instagram posts, the dynamic track finds Poppy in a particularly vulnerable mode. By once again teaming with metalcore wunderkind Jordan Fish the track continues the winning combination of delicate electronics and neck-snapping guitars that made her album Negative Spaces such a success. Featuring another winning vocal performance that still finds space for a throat-shredding breakdown, the song easily stands alongside Negative Spaces and her recent hit collaboration with Amy Lee and Spiritbox's Courtney LaPlante.
Starting this Saturday, Poppy will kick off her tour in support of Linkin Park on the South American leg of their From Zero World Tour, with an additional headlining show in São Paulo recently added. Tickets are available here.
Negative Spaces is also out now on Sumerian Records.
"Unravel" is out now on all platforms. Check out the Sam Cannon-directed visualizer below.
