To a generation of viewers, Ice-T is best known as Fin Tutuola on Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. To some, he is a rapper and frontman for Body Count, one of the progenitors of nu metal as we know it today. To viewers of FOX's newest game show/reality series Nation's Dumbest, he may end up as just that, as Ice-T is one of twelve celebrities in the running.
The synopsis of the show reads as follows:
Hosted by Jack Whitehall, this celebrity competition series has the ultimate goal to avoid being crowned the least intelligent person in the room. The high-concept format features twelve household names competing in a multi-week gauntlet of school-themed challenges, including elementary pop quizzes, outrageous physical "gym class" stunts, and pop-culture tests. Flipping traditional game shows on their head, nobody is competing to win – they are desperately trying to avoid last place. It all builds to a high-stakes "Final Exam" where the last remaining stars face off, ultimately determining which celebrity earns the deeply unwanted title of Nation’s Dumbest.
Ice-T joins actor Anthony Michael Hall (The Breakfast Club), Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite), Carmen Electra, Steve-O (Jackass), singer and TV personality JoJo Siwa, singer Elle King, actor Chase Hudson, Hilaria Baldwin, Dr. Drew Pinsky, actor/writer Matt Leinart, and former Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang in the competition.
