One and a half weeks after its release, Deftones' private music. is racking up even more accolades. It was announced last week that the album had reached number 5 on the Billboard 200 chart, but now the news has broken that the album has several more chart accolades to boast.
First, it has topped the Rock Albums Chart for the week ending August 28th, 2025, with Luminate reporting 87,000 equivalent album units sold. This also puts it at number one on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart, breaking a three-album streak of number two placements from Diamond Eyes, Gore, and Ohms.
It also topped the Top Hard Rock Album chart, making a hat trick of debut number ones after Gore and Ohms, released in 2016 and 2020 respectively.
Moving from the album as a whole to songs from the album, "Infinite Source" tops the Hot Hard Rock Songs chart, with an estimated 4.2 million streams in the US alone. This makes the second song from private music. to reach this milestone, as the first single "My Mind is a Mountain" topped this same chart for the week ending July 26th.
The next chart should come out today (September 3rd), one day late due to the Labor Day holiday. Congratulations to Deftones on these accolades.
