Evanescence To Play "Afterlife" At This Year's Game Awards

Their 'Devil May Cry' feature will get the live treatment at the ceremony next Thursday (Dec. 11th).

Evanescence have had a stellar year in 2025, between multiple soundtrack features, touring with Metallica, and Amy Lee's partnership with Courtney LaPlante and Poppy, which has led to an upcoming tour next year. One such feature, the Devil May Cry Netflix series' theme "Afterlife," saw runaway success commercially, topping charts and stirring the fans' interest in a follow-up to the band's 2021 album The Bitter Truth.

This Thursday night at The Game Awards, the band will play the song live as part of the festivities. In a teaser on their socials, Amy Lee also hints at potential news on season 2 of the series. There is also speculation among fans that this will lead to an annoucement of the next installment in the game series, with the last installment being Devil May Cry 5 in 2019.
