Ronald Radke Refuses To Pay Anthony Fantano's Lawyer Fees After Losing Landmark Court Case

Ronald just doesn't know how to accept defeat.

It's been a bad few weeks for Falling In Reverse frontman Ronald Radke. Last year he sued popular internet music critic Anthony Fantano (after suing the wrong Anthony Fantano initially), after Fantano uploaded the video 'This Guy Sucks' in 2023. Radke lost the suit and on August 29th, he was ordered to pay Fantano a whopping $40,700.

You can catch The Nu Metal Agenda's previous coverage about the lawsuit and its aftermath here.

That's a lot of fucking money, and Radke seems to think so as well, because he's refusing to pay it, objecting to the sum. The court ruled that Fantano was entitled to "reasonable attorney fees and costs", based on the fact that he won the suit under Connecticuit's anti-SLAPP (Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation) statutes. Radke's legal team claims, "The total fees and costs sought by Fantano are excessive, grossly disproportionate to the tasks performed, and Fantano has failed to meet his burden of demonstrating the reasonableness of the fee award sought," and continues, “The number of hours spent by defendant’s counsel is consistent with a case that has gone through discovery and is close to trial, not a case in the pleading stage.”

Radke's team also claims that it was impossible to gauge the amounts in his attorney's affidavit due to Fantano's legal counsel allegedly failing to provide Cohen and Wolf with a copy of his retainer agreement.

This comes days after Fantano uploaded a video called "My Response to Ronald Radke", where he dismantles Radke's previous video on him. You catch that video down below:
