While this weekend has the eyes of the wrestling world set on WWE's biggest show WrestleMania in Las Vegas, NV, the independent scene is hotter than ever before, and one independent wrestler is looking to grant opportunities to a largely underserved community of wrestlers.
Kidd Bandit, known as "The Protagonist of Pro Wrestling," has taken over the promotion previously known as T-Boy Wrestling, and rebranded it T4T Wrestling. After the original run was mired in controversy and misappropriation of funds, the LA-based Bandit has made a play to take back the night and offer a space for trans, nonbinary, and gender-diverse performers.
Bandit, who enters her final weekend of in-ring action before her hiatus and potential retirement this weekend, has opened up applications for performers, offering the following message:
"Express yourself through storytelling, music, drag, dance, and stage combat, all fused with the spectacle of pro wrestling.
This is a space for bold ideas, bigger personalities, and unapologetic self-expression.
Whether you're a performer, athlete, artist, or somewhere beautifully in-between, our boot camp is designed to help you craft a short, high-impact live performance piece that is uniquely yours.
Recital will be on July 3, 2026.
Check out our interview with Kidd Bandit last year, where she talks about her match with Zack Sabre Jr. at last year's Effy's Big Gay Brunch, as well as her development as a wrestler and a video game aficionado.
