Sleep Token are on the other side of their Even in Arcadia tour, riding the wave of the release of their album of the same name earlier this year. After raking in numerous Billboard chart placements and selling out the aforementioned tour, the band now have their eyes on the Grammy Awards, and have submitted several pieces for the upcoming awards.
Most surprising among these, at least at first glance, is the submission for Best New Artist, given that the band is rounding the corner on a decade together, having formed in 2016. Based on the GRAMMY criteria, the band would qualify, though, as they absolutely have "achieved a breakthrough into the public consciousness and impacted the musical landscape during the year's eligibility period." Even in Arcadia was released on a major label in RCA Records, their first such release, and with the virality of songs like "Emergence" and "Caramel," I'd say this tracks.
Speaking of those songs, both have been submitted for various awards, with "Emergence" being posited for Best Metal Performance, while "Caramel" has four submissions including Best Rock Song and Record of the Year. The album as a whole has been put up for four possible awards, including Album of the Year.
Nominations for the 2026 awards are set to be announced next Friday, November 7th, so stay tuned as we see if any members of our nu world get the nod.
