Paleface Swiss Drop New Track "Let Me Sleep"

The Swiss deathcore quartet are back at it again with another banger.

Just three weeks after the release of the collaboration between with Stick To Your Guns for "Instrument of War", we're being treated to yet another new song from the Paleface Swiss camp. It's a good year if you're a fan of this band, because along with these recent singles, the group's third studio album, CURSED, came out earlier this year on January 3rd via Blood Blast Distribution. Paleface Swiss's next release will be The Wilted EP, which serves as a representation of the aftermath of the themes explored on CURSED, such as the downward spiral into darkness and pain, and was written while the band toured extensively in Europe, Australia, and the United States.

"Let Me Sleep" immediately comes out of the gate swinging with the intensity. Vocalist Marc "Zelli" Zellweger has perfected a vocal style that is instantly recognizable with fast-paced rap-screaming that is a staple in the nu-core subgenre. The song alternates between vigorous face-melting heavy metal and the classic slow-paced syncopated deathcore breakdown which audibly illustrates the conflict that is portrayed in the lyrics. Coupled with the tortured screams he delivers, Zellweger begs his mind to be able to let him go to sleep so that he can escape his mental torment. Mental health is a common topic explored in the Paleface Swiss discography, so myself and many other fans can find this song relatable. It's a great song all around.

The music video isn't slacking either. Director Kriss Jakob has been recruited yet again, and I can see why. The way that this is shot gives horror movie vibes with the woman going into a room full of TV's showing security cam footage. encountering a man who is tied up in chains, and finally seeing Zellweger going crazy by drawing on the walls and himself. The rapidly changing camera shots and flashing lights accentuate the frantic and desperate feeling portrayed in the music. Also, the blue, green, and red tones in certain shots, combined with my previous points, reminds me of the Saw franchise, which has become known for its depiction of torture.

If you're a big fan of this song, the band has released a few "Let Me Sleep" shirt designs that are sick. The EP drops on January 2nd, 2026.
