Spiritbox Guitarist/Producer Mike Stringer Gets Signature STX Guitar Series From Aristides

As the band gear up to tour alongside Dying Wish and Loathe, guitarist/producer Mike Stringer celebrates ten years playing Aristides Guitars by being given his own signature series of instruments.

Spiritbox are riding a wave of momentum that has only built up with the release of their sophomore LP Tsunami Sea. As the band gear up to tour alongside Dying Wish and Loathe in support of said album, guitarist/producer Mike Stringer celebrates ten years playing Aristides Guitars by being given his own signature series of instruments.

Says Stringer on the occasion:

“I first started playing Aristides guitars in 2015, and their instruments have shaped the overall sound of my band, our recordings, and my playing.  Today, after 10 years of playing their guitars, I am very proud and honored to announce the launch of the first ever Aristides artist collaboration line: The STX series.  An offset model available in 6, 7, and 8 string configurations, focused on ergonomics, quality and precision.  My entire career, I’ve been trying to find the instrument that covers all the ground I need, and we’ve accomplished this with the STX.   I cannot wait for guitarists to get their hands on this one!”

Pascal Langelaar, CEO of Aristides Instruments, offered the following comment:

“Mike has been a key part of Aristides for over a decade. His ideas and feedback have shaped many of our innovations, and it’s a proud moment for us to launch our very first official artist collaboration line of guitars with someone who’s been such an important part of our journey.”

To show off the capabilities of the STX Series guitars, Stringer plays through “Perfect Soul” from the new record on a 7-string model. The twelfth fret inlay is modeled after the cover art of Tsunami Sea, with the two faces back-to-back as they are on said cover. As these are custom and made to order, pricing is steep (even the lower-end models start around 3,000 EUR), but given the decade-long partnership between the makers and Stringer, it is at least remotely understandable.
