Last Tuesday, NYC indie rock band DIIV posted a fake teaser image for an episode of Saturday Night Live hosted by Fred Durst. And I fell for it. All the way. 100%. Ran straight to our writers to demand an article on it "NOW NOW NOW." So congrats to DIIV on their laser target precision strike on myself, current nu-metal thought leader and former Pitchfork obsessive.
Today they lent us all their new single, the politely nu-gazy "Brown Paper Bag," and it does indeed feature Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst introducing the band to perform the new track on NBC's own SNL set.
