This weekend is WrestleMania, the global spectacle that is the keystone of professional wrestling. Forty years ago, the gamble of a lifetime was made on a Monday in Madison Square Garden, and this weekend, Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium will host the Show of Shows. When the wrestlers aren’t in the ring or the gym, some of them enjoy an adult beverage, while others stream video games on Twitch.
Then there’s the Monster Among Monsters, Braun Strowman.
The Grand Slam winner and “one big SOB” posted a video to his socials of him singing Creed’s “One Last Breath” at an unnamed bar’s karaoke night. While Strowman, real name Adam Scherr, may be known for the Symphony of Destruction match, in which musical instruments become weapons of in-ring warfare, who knew that the conductor of the Strowman Express could sing so well?
Maybe once the former strongman hangs up the wrestling boots, he has a future in music. Either way, get this man to Scott Stapp and Co. immediately, cuz while Strowman may be known to introduce “these hands” to opponents, he’s no slouch on the mic either, as it turns out.
