Los Angeles Industrial Metal outfit, 3Teeth have been heralded by many metal publications as the new champions of the industrial metal subgenre, and for good reason. Active since 2013, they’ve shown an undying passion for industrial music, with their influences ranging from Rob Zombie, Skinny Puppy, Ministry, KMFDM, White Zombie, Bile, Dope, and Nine Inch Nails (with Alexis Mincolla stating that the album The Downward Spiral had the biggest influence on their music.) After getting a hefty co-sign by Tool drummer Adam Jones who invited them on tour in 2015, 3Teeth have blown up in popularity.
After releasing a whopping six singles, all of which were co-produced by Mick Gordon - best known for the soundtrack of the Bethesda DOOM series - 3Teeth have dropped their 4th full-length album EndEx, further expanding their sound. Anthemic choruses and catchy hooks with buzzing synths and guitar tones abound, and the crown jewel of this album, the first single "Paralyze" ft. Ho99o9 delivers them in a nu-industrial tour de force.
The other half of the album contains deep cuts that, while not having Gordon’s production, are still not to be slept on. These tracks showcase faster, more technical drumming, delivering an intensity that’s on par with Fear Factory. The album comes to an end with a cover song like on their previous album METAWAR when they covered "Pumped Up Kicks" by Foster the People. This time we hear their take on "Everybody Wants to Rule The World" by Tears For Fears, which doesn’t quite hold up in comparison to their "Pumped Up Kicks" cover.
Nevertheless, 3Teeth continues on their upward trajectory. After four years of anticipation for their next release, EndEx seems to be well worth the wait. They prove once again that they have earned their reputation as the torch-bearers of industrial metal.
