While Limp Bizkit performed their polarizing rendition of the Who’s “Behind Blue Eyes” during their set at Landgraaf’s Pinkpop Festival on Sunday, pop superstar Ed Sheeran dropped in for a brief singalong. "Holy shit!", Durst hissed out upon hearing Sheeran knocking the chorus for “Behind Blue Eyes” out of the park. By then, Limp Bizkit had already played a few notes of the Brit’s 2017 megahit "Shape Of You" with the camera zoomed in on a smiling Ed standing in the wings, watching the band play. Fred had also called out several times to especially make some noise for the English musician, who would close the final day of Pinkpop later that day. After a big hug from a Howard Stern-cosplaying Durst, the British singer-songwriter disappeared back to the side of the stage.

It’s possible that Sheeran won’t be the last artist to join the Bizkit on their most commercially successful cover song, seeing as country star Jelly Roll preceded him at Welcome to Rockville back in May.

Wes Borland also posted a pic of him and "some guy" who kept bothering him for a photo.

Sheeran has ventured into the rock and metal scene before; in 2023, he performed with the Darkness in London and joined the Offspring at the BottleRock Napa Valley festival on May 26, where they played "Million Miles Away"--a "childhood dream” for Sheeran.

Sheeran is also getting ready to unveil his collaboration with Cradle Of Filth's Dani Filth, a song that, according to Filth, was recorded over a year ago.

Other acts on this year's Pinkpop bill included Skindred, Babymetal, Pendulum, Corey Taylor and others.
