Rage Against the Machine to be Inducted Into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

LA rap rock revolutionary band, Rage Against the Machine, after 5 years of being up for nomination only to be passed over, has finally been chosen to be formally inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This induction was obviously a long time coming, considering what’s made this band stand out unlike any other. Tom Morello’s innovative soundplay on the guitar and Zack de la Rocha’s politically radical lyrics and notable upper register vocal aggression gave voice to a generation of the struggle against oppression. Not to mention the massive role their music had in shaping the nu metal sound for acts like Korn and Limp Bizkit.

On November 3rd, Rage Against the Machine will be officially inducted into the Hall of Fame at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The band issued an official statement on their Instagram page which you can read here:
